The beautiful Duncan Phyfe, aka Michelle Pfeiffer, was taken home yesterday by the fabulous interior designer Jamie Loop. It was love at first sight for Jamie. Look at the smile on her face! She is going to send pics when she gets it all set up in her new home in Beverly Hills. We will miss you Michelle - but know you will be very well cared for by Jamie. :) Check out Jamie's blog http://jlid.blogspot.com/
I found these cute old chairs at a garage sale for next to nothing. The seats were missing out of them and I was going to replace them and upholster them, but they spoke to me and and wanted to be something new and different. With a little bit of new wood and some creative mistakes these sad old chairs have a new life. The bench has be painted and distressed. I sealed it with a polyurethane and it is now ready for a new home in the garden. If you love it, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
This aged Duncan Phyfe buffet has had a facelift with Anne Sloan's Chalk Paint. We nick named her Michelle Pfeiffer because Jill couldn't remember Duncan Phyfe and she is quite beautiful now. Don't you think?
Mak and Jill just moved into a space at San Clemente Antiques and Decor on Del Mar Blvd., in downtown San Clemente. You can now buy our furnishings in this shop. And many other places. :)
Emily Henderson, HGTV's winner of Design Star and host of Secrets of a Stylist (our new favorite HGTV show) stopped by and found a few vintage pieces for her newest episode. She purchased the turquoise carved side table (shown infront) and a funky vintage red upholstered chair. Emily is a regular at the Rose Bowl. And you should be too! So much great stuff!
